The production of burnt plate oil involves igniting the oil during the cooking operation, which is hazardous. even cooking oil at these high temperatures can be hazardous. We do not recommend it. Putting out an oil fire is a tricky operation.

We will be preparing a limited batch of genuine burnt plate oil later this year. We have a cooking kettle located outside our facility, but the weather during this season will not allow us to do it now. We once in awhile cook oils for certain types of preparations, but we prefer the vacuum-bodied oils, because we can control the acid number and do not have to heat the oil to such high temperatures.

There you go Otto. You will be able to experiment with the genuine item. Other than the link/article you mentioned I have never heard of, or heard from, anyone using the genuine burnt plate oil. It should be interesting.

Could it be,that the high temperatures needed to produce this oil have destroyed his chemical fingerprints ?
So it is not more discoverable or only bad discoverable ?

I am very delighted to hear that.
    I think many others too.
    Thanks.
