Hello, just wondering if anyone has any good info on del Sarto's oil palette? Is it much the same as his contemporaries?

Yes, He was born in 1477/78 and died 1531. He studied painting under two painters, first Gian. Barile and then under Piero di Cosimo.I would have to assume his palette would be that of these artists, which was mostly Italian based pigments of there time period, but he did also go to France for a while and may have discovered new colored pigments there, as well.
One could surmize his palette by looking at the pigment history chart of artists common use in the Natural Pigments 2009 Catalog on page 3. Based on the dates starting at 1486 -1531 you will be able to have a very good idea, as to what was available at the time he was painting.

Without a brush in my hand, pigments to grind and an empty canvas - I feel naked and unsatisfied!

Also, you may want to take a look at Titans palette, as he was of that same period and I'm sure the colors reflected in Titans work are also reflected in del Sartos work, based on having looked at both of their works. del Sarto worked in the mannerist style and did work in Florence as well as in France, where different colors may have been available to him, as well.
