Rublev Colours Cobalt Chromite Blue is an intense dark blue with greenish undertones when mixed with white. This inorganic cobalt chromite blue pigment, which is Colour Index Generic Name (CIGN) Pigment Blue 36 (PB 36), is often incorrectly named “Cerulean blue” (Colour Index PB 35) in other oil paint lines. Cobalt chromite is a semi-transparent, fine-grained color with moderately high tinting strength.

Some separation of pigment and oil may occur in Rublev Colours Artist Oils and is a natural process when no wax or stabilizers are added to paint to prevent this from occurring.
