This brush is sufficiently stiff to work varnish in the texture of your painting without being too stiff to damage the surface during application.
Conservar Varnish Brush features synthetic fibers in a thin but wide stainless steel ferrule. The ferrule is attached securely to a hardwood handle that has been double dipped with a white coating resistant to most varnish solvents. The thin tuft helps avoid overloading varnish onto the brush and painting surface, thereby improving the wetting and application of the varnish.
