ARTIST STATEMENT

I like to play with water and to measure myself with the magic of nature, the figurative approach of my art has within it a level of abstraction that allows me to transmit emotions at a deeper level. My aim is to be able to explore more and more on different textures and with different techniques in order to capture the essence of light and movement. Art has the power to show different worlds generated from a blank canvas, I want to share this process through my work

MICHELE BAJONA ON RUBLEV COLOURS

I have chosen to use Rublev Colors watercolor paints because I trust the integrity of their project and because it’s a family run business: Natural Pigments creates products for the love of art and artists.

The use of natural ingredients, historical pigments, and the minimum amount of additives with no to stabilizers or fillers, creates a very different feel when I load my brush and when I apply it on paper. The great amount of pigment in the tube or pan allows to reach a great depth and excellent chroma.

The quality of information that is given to their customers makes me feel comfortable recommending my color palette to students, colleagues and followers.

The importance that the company gives to Painting Best Practices is a great help to implement the best way to use your materials in your own studio painting practices to ensure that your work of art can last the test of time.
