Among yellow brass, it has the highest ductility and has an attractive smooth, yellow brass finish. The high zinc content of C260 gives it the optimum combination of strength and ductility while maintaining the high formability of copper. It has excellent cold workability and is used extensively in the automotive industry, also in the manufacturing of plumbing, hardware, and ammunition.
