Free Ground Shipping
Free Ground Shipping on orders over $100.
Exceptions: To qualify for Free Ground Shipping, the minimum order amount must be met before sales tax and discounts. Gift Card purchases do not count towards that qualification. This offer is not applicable to orders containing oversized or overweight items (exceeding 20 inches in length, exceeding 20 lbs. in weight, or gallon-size paints/mediums). All additional charges are calculated using FedEx, UPS, or United States Postal Service rates and will be added to your order during checkout.
Order Processing
Orders placed before 12 noon Pacific Time Monday through Friday are processed and shipped on the same day. Orders placed after 12 noon Pacific Time Monday through Friday and on weekends or holidays will be processed and shipped on the next business day. Natural Pigments is closed on the following U.S. holidays:
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
- Independence Day (July 4)
- Labor Day (the first Monday of September)
- Thanksgiving Day (the fourth Thursday in November)
- Christmas Day (December 25)
In addition, our Shipping Department is closed on the day after Thanksgiving. No pickup or delivery service is available on these days.

Shipping to Canada, Mexico, and Other International Locations
Natural Pigments ships to most countries of the world. We use the postal service and FedEx for shipments to international locations.
Note for All International Locations
We recommend using the United States Postal Service (USPS) when shipping to most international locations. FedEx may offer less expensive shipping rates to some international locations, but private carriers charge a customs brokerage fee, which the postal service may not, and this often results in less cost overall.
Special Note for Canada
Carriers like FedEx are part of a government program to help speed up the delivery of low-value shipments—goods worth less than $2500. The brokerage fees generally apply to regular ground shipments and cover the costs of processing the paperwork and paying the taxes and duties to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The brokerage fees are calculated on the product's value and can be as much as $100. However, one can avoid those extra charges by self-clearing the package and dealing directly with CBSA.
Self-Clearing with the Canada Border Services Agency
Refuse delivery and advise the FedEx courier that you will pay duties and/or taxes directly to CBSA.
Write down the unique shipment tracking number. The shipment will be returned to FedEx’s warehouse for a limited period of time.
Visit a local CBSA office that offers accounting services to the public.
You will need the shipment tracking number, the invoice (we automatically send invoices by email when your order is shipped), and personal identification when you visit the CBSA.
You will receive an official receipt indicating that you have paid duties and/or taxes to the CBSA.
A copy of this receipt must be presented to FedEx, either in person or by fax, at which time receipt or delivery of the shipment may be arranged.
If that seems like a lot of work, you may opt to pay the brokerage fee, but at least you should know you have a choice.
Shipping international packages by post are the easiest way to avoid high brokerage fees. Canada Post charges $9.95 on all dutiable or taxable mail and has arrangements with postal services in other countries, such as the United States Postal Service, for clearing packages.
Special Note for Mexico
Due to Mexico's high tariffs and brokerage fees, we do not recommend using FedEx for shipments to Mexico. We recommend shipping with the postal service and placing orders less than $200 USD.

VAT, Duties, Tariffs, and Customs Brokerage Fees for International Orders
VAT, duties, tariffs, and customs brokerage fees are not included in prices and totals. These charges are in addition to what you will pay when ordering. These charges originate in the country of delivery, so please contact your local customs for more information.
Order Tracking
We will update your order with the tracking information if the shipping carrier provides a tracking number. You can locate the tracking number for your order in the shipping confirmation email you receive when your order is shipped. (Look for the email with the subject line "Natural Pigments: Shipment # xxxxxxxxx for Order # xxxxxxxxx".) You can also find the tracking number by signing into your account and visiting My Account Dashboard under Recent Orders. Please note that orders using United States Postal Service (USPS) First Class mail will not have tracking numbers.
Shipping Rates
The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products and your location. Before the final checkout page, you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to abandon your order if you decide not to place it.
Shipping Damage
For shipping damage, customers should file a claim with the carrier immediately. Any discrepancy, including wrong or missing items, should be reported to Natural Pigments within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt. Unless noted in the online catalog, all packages will usually be shipped the following business day.
Back Orders
We do not accept backorders for out-of-stock items. If you order an out-of-stock item, we will email you when we expect that product to be available. You will be among the first to receive the item when it becomes available. Natural Pigments will not charge your credit card for out-of-stock items.
