Rublev Colours 16th Century Flesh Tone Palette provides you with the colors used most often by painters in the 15th and 16th centuries to create a wide range of flesh tints. The depiction of Saint Luke painting the Holy Virgin by Niklaus Manuel Deutsch in 1515 is typical of paintings completed in that period showing the painter's palette. The palette carries a range of colors needed to mix various flesh tints: yellow ocher, red ocher, umber and sienna, white, black and green earth. We've assembled these colors to give you the same historical palette typical of painters of the 15th and 16th centuries. These colors can be mixed and used interchangeably with other oil colors.
